Defines, advances, andmanagesthe automation and artificial intelligence strategy for Northside Hospital. This roleidentifiesopportunities to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and lower costs by applying intelligent automation solutions. The Automation & AI Architect partners with operational and clinical leaders to analyze inefficient processes, redesign workflows, and champion initiatives that deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates andmaintainsthe Automation & AI Strategy and Roadmap for Northside HospitalIdentifiesoperational processes suitable for automation, AI augmentation, or workflow redesignBenchmark AI opportunities in healthcare to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.Partners with departments to transform manual workflows using automation technologyConducts assessments of automation and AI opportunities; recommends prioritized initiatives based on quantifiable valueSponsors automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, andeliminatemanual or repetitive tasksMaintains awareness of current automation and AI technologies, trends, and platform capabilitiesMobilizes approved initiatives through existing program delivery structures and collaborates with project teams throughout execution

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related technical field. (Equivalent experience may substitute.)Strong knowledge of automation tools, AI/ML platforms, workflow tools, RPA technology, and data analytics conceptsAbility to communicate effectively with executives, operational leaders, and technical teamsStrong understanding of business process improvement methodologiesAbility to analyze workflows and identify automation opportunities with measurable outcomesExpert knowledge of hospital operations

PREFERRED:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related fieldFive (5) years of experience in automation, AI, process engineering, or related technology fieldsCertifications in automation platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate), AI/ML, or process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma)Experience working in a healthcare environmentExcellent analytical, communication, and customer service skillsExperience leading crossfunctional automation initiativesProject lead or coordination experience
