Overview

The Enterprise Payments Application Analyst, supports the end-to-end administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Global Payments Platform (GPP). This role is responsible for providing functional and technical support for a mission-critical enterprise payments platform that processes ACH, Wires, Real Time Payments (RTP), FedNow, and emerging payment rails. Working under the direction of the VP, Enterprise Payments Application Manager, this role partners closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Client teams to ensure platform stability, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on production support, incident resolution, requirements analysis, testing coordination, vendor engagement, and ongoing platform enhancements to support business growth and increasing transaction volumes.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Provides day-to-day application support for GPP, ensuring stable and reliable transaction processing.Monitors system performance, transaction flows, and rules set across ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow, and other payment rails.Supports onboarding of new clients by gathering processing requirements, validating file specifications, and coordinating and validation configuration and business rules within GPP.Configures and maintains payment processing rules, transaction workflows, settlement parameters, and exception handling logic to align with client agreements and regulatory requirements.Investigates, analyzes, and resolves production incidents, defects, and data discrepancies in a timely manner.Participates in root cause analysis and document findings, corrective actions, and preventive controls.Gathers and documents functional and technical requirements for system enhancements and client onboarding.Coordinates and executes user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and production validation activities.Supports release planning, change impact analysis, and operational readiness activities.Acts as liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors for issue tracking and remediation.Maintains documentation and control evidence to support audit and regulatory requirements.Performs transaction analysis, reconciliation support, and exception research to ensure data integrity.Develops operational reports related to platform performance and transaction volumes.Recommends process improvements to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.Performs other duties as assigned.Up to 25% travel required. Ability and willingness to travel between Wilmington, DE and Sioux Falls, SD as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in payments, banking operations, financial services technology, or enterprise application support.
  • Experience supporting high-availability, transaction-based systems in a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow, or similar payment rails.
  • Experience with system requirements documentation and production support processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting Global Payments Plus (GPP) or comparable enterprise payment platforms.
  • Knowledge of payment rules and regulatory requirements applicable to ACH, Wires, RTP, and FedNow.
  • Experience with transaction reconciliation and billing validation processes.
  • Familiarity with vendor-managed platforms and third-party risk considerations.
  • Experience participating in platform upgrades or modernization initiatives.
  • Flexibility to support non-standard work hours as needed.
