English as a Second Language Part-Time Instructor - Creston, evenings

Responsible for recruiting students into the Student Support Services Program and will primarily be responsible for establishing eligibility of participants, and providing academic and/or career advising; planning student workshops and events; arranging campus visits for program participants among other essential duties. The ability to transport students to area colleges for transfer visits is required.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, sociology, education, student personnel, or other related field. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in overcoming barriers similar to those of the target population and/or those with 1-3 years of experience working with SSS-eligible populations.

This is a grant-funded position. The TRIO-SSS grant has been continually funded since 1997, and the program began the first year of a 5-year grant in Fall 2025. The SSS Advisor/Transfer Specialist position is a 10-month, part-time position. Review of applications will begin upon receipt of qualified applicants and will continue until the position is filled.
