Engineering Intern

Job Description:

MTS is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer in training to join our team for the summer of 2026. You will be a critical part of a team working on the design, development, and testing of complex electro-mechanical components and systems. This role is a good fit for a developing engineering building skills with mechanical design, system integration, and materials testing. This full-time, temporary position is located on-site at our Westerville, Ohio facility.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Eager to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Work in a team and independently.
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Westerville, Ohio location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD systems
  • Knowledge of machine design, structural mechanics, and materials science

Compensation Information:

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23-$27/hour based on degree and experience.
