Kleinfelder is looking to add an engineering co-op or intern to join our team in McClure, OH!

We are looking for candidate who can thrive and learn in a team-oriented workplace. Kleinfelder offers a wide range of challenging project work and a great opportunity to learn and develop professionally. This position will offer a flexible work schedule and reporting location and allow for limited work from home opportunities along with office days.

Required Experience:

• Desire to learn, or experience in, electrical engineering associated with industrial facilities and commercial buildings,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
• A thirst to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment.
• A can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset are essential.
• A strong commitment for accountability to project quality and schedule.

Education:

We ask that students are pursuing a degree in engineering or engineering technology and have at least one prior co-op experience with an engineering firm, general contractor, or other company.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience using Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Teams to effectively communicate with internal and external clients.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Adhere to organizational standards for quality and performance.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications, applicable building codes, and design codes.
• Assist in reviewing/checking calculations prepared by others, drafting of plans and details, and preparing meeting minutes.
• Assist in reviewing and processing submittals and shop drawings, performing field observations and field measurements to record existing conditions.
• Ability to assist in performing field observation and field measurements to record existing conditions.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other design disciplines to coordinate with the overall design.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, willingness to climb, work at heights, over water, and other austere conditions for inspections and/or observations.

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
