For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $81,600 - $122,400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.  

 

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Engineer II, ATS Electrical Systems Design provides technical design expertise and engineering support for Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) products. This role is responsible for the design, specification, release, and ongoing support of electrical systems, ensuring products meet market requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing needs. The successful candidate works independently with general guidance, applying sound engineering judgment to both routine and nonroutine design challenges. This position interacts closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Applications Engineering, and Continuous Engineering teams to support product delivery, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.

 

What will you do:
  • Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for ATS products, including electrical schematics, point‑to‑point interconnects, Bills of Material (BOMs), and application‑specific programs.
  • Select appropriate electrical components and equipment to meet functional, market, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure ATS products conform to applicable safety standards and specifications.
  • Release designs to manufacturing with complete and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain drawing and program revisions by issuing and executing Engineering Change Notices / Orders (ECNs/ECOs).
  • Serve as first‑contact technical support for the plant.
  • Resolve differences between design intent and fabrication requirements through collaboration and root cause analysis.
  • Support troubleshooting, quality issues, customer complaints, and Factory Witness Tests as required.
  • Coordinate and expedite parts replacements when needed.
  • Support continuous engineering activities to maintain and improve existing ATS product offers.
  • Propose engineering changes to improve quality, productivity, safety, and reliability.
  • Apply Lean principles to reduce waste and increase value.
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering support to Applications Engineering and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical information, risks, and solutions clearly and effectively.

 

 

What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within teams

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of ASCO Automatic Transfer Switch products.
  • Experience with ProEngineer / PTC Creo.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or plant‑facing engineering functions.
  • Familiarity with AC, DC, or hybrid electrical systems.
