Engineer - DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City

The team of hospitality professionals at the DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC - Crystal City are looking for Engineers to join their Engineering Team! This 627-room property is half a mile south of The Pentagon near I-395 and the Pentagon City Metro station is only a three-block walk away.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, ideally working in hotels or apartment buildings, is a Jack on all trades and has a genuine passion for hospitality! We are also looking for a qualified Engineer with strong Electrician skills for the AM shift.

Shift Pattern: there are 2 positions for the AM shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM and 1 for the PM shift: 3:30PM-12:00AM. Candidates should be available to work any day of the week/weekends/holidays, as needed, and have some flexibility with schedules, as needed.

Pay Rate:$28.75 per hour

What will I be doing?

As an Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
