Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Endoscopy Tech, you will provide crucial technical support during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency.

Every day you will meticulously prepare, maintain, and sterile process endoscopy equipment, assist physicians during procedures, and prepare rooms while maintaining accurate documentation.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail in sterile processing, and collaborative skills in a fast-paced clinical setting, contributing to positive patient outcomes.

  • Cleans and disinfects endoscopes and accessory equipment as per manufacturer guidelines
  • Properly documents the cleaning/disinfection of all endoscopes on appropriate logs
  • Prepares accessory equipment for sterilization and delivers these to sterile processing.
  • Documents dates of change of disinfection solution, solution quality testing and reprocessing equipment filter changes 5. Responsible for assessing equipment on a daily basis and notification and escalation of any equipment damage and repair needs to appropriate channels and to assigned unit leader
  • Responsible for set‐up and clean‐up of procedure room, supply carts, pre and post procedural areas and equipment
  • Performs as an assistant to the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by the physician or registered nurse
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
  • High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days


Preferred

  • One (1) year of patient care experience
