Job Title: Break-Fix Engineer (Onsite)

Job Type: Freelance / Contract / C2C

Work Mode: This is an on-demand role and not a full-time (40 hours/week) position. Support will be required only when needed by the client. You will be informed a couple of days in advance prior to any site visit.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Break-Fix Engineer to provide onsite technical support and resolve hardware/software issues in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with end-user computing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals)
  • Perform break-fix support for IT equipment and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot OS-related issues (Windows/Mac)
  • Handle network connectivity problems (LAN/Wi-Fi, basic troubleshooting)
  • Replace faulty components and ensure minimal downtime
  • Provide support for end-users and ensure smooth IT operations
  • Maintain proper documentation of incidents and resolutions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Break-Fix / Desktop Support / Field Support roles
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, basic networking, and ticketing tools
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or equivalent
  • Experience with enterprise IT environments
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes
