A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York City office. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who enjoy defending employers in complex workplace disputes while managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.


The successful candidate will represent employers in single-plaintiff employment lawsuits, administrative proceedings, mediations, depositions, and other employment-related disputes. Attorneys will work closely with clients to develop strategic legal solutions while handling sophisticated litigation matters in both federal and state courts.

Key Responsibilities


• Defend employers in single-plaintiff employment litigation matters.

• Represent clients in administrative agency proceedings and investigations.

• Handle all phases of federal and state court litigation.

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues.

• Participate in hearings, mediations, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

• Collaborate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy and risk management decisions.

• Develop case strategies designed to achieve favorable outcomes.

• Manage discovery, witness preparation, and evidentiary matters.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments and legal recommendations.

• Work effectively within a fast-paced litigation environment while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

Qualifications


• 5–7+ years of litigation experience.

• Employment litigation experience strongly preferred.

• Active New York Bar admission required.

• Additional state bar admissions are a plus.

• Strong understanding of federal and state employment litigation procedures.

• Familiarity with employment-related administrative agencies and current procedural requirements.

• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality work product.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously.

• Client-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
