Employment Counseling Attorney
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
We’re seeking a skilled Employment Attorney to join a well-established law firm with a strong labor & employment practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys advisory-focused work, guiding employers on compliance, workplace issues, and risk mitigation, with limited litigation involvement. You’ll play a key role in supporting clients and HR teams while working in a collaborative environment.
Role Expectations:
- Primarily an advisory-focused role, supporting employers with day-to-day employment matters
- Advise on employee relations, workplace policies, and best practices
- Conduct and support workplace investigations (harassment, discrimination, retaliation)
- Provide guidance on compliance with federal and state employment laws (wage & hour, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and internal policies
- Support pre-litigation strategy and respond to agency charges as needed
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Massachusetts Bar admission (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in employment counseling or labor & employment law
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulatory compliance
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is up to $200,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
