Whatyou’lldo:- Record and deliver organized rounds,discusscasesandgatheradditionalinformation as necessary
- Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
- Partner withpatient care teamregardingtreatment plans, clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
- Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatmentand procedures
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesiaandsedation procedures
- Perform in-house laboratory testingandprepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Who you are:- State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred
- Prior veterinary experiencerequired,previousemergencyexperience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation: This position has an initial hiring range of $27.25 to $44.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.
We support our evening and weekend caregivers with lucrative shift differentials: - Hours worked from 8pm - 11:59pm = base pay + $4/hour
- Hours worked from 12am - 7:59am = base pay + $6/hour
- Hours worked on weekends (day or night) = base pay + $3/hour + any applicable differentials
