Electronics Technician – Sacramento, CA & Chantilly, VA

The Electronics Technician executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations. Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Key duties include conducting site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzes and interprets complete drawing packages to assess constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects, executing installation and maintenance activities within planned durations.
- Tracks and inventories tools, conducting consistent tool inspections and performing tool inventory at the end of each day for assigned tools and equipment.
- Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to include testing to verify high quality.
- Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and all mounting hardware components, ensuring proper grounding and adherence to NEC standards.
- Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
- Racks and stacks head end equipment, terminates and performs cable terminations and accessories associated with industry standards.
- Communicates consistently with Project Teams, exhibiting dedication, punctuality, and preparedness for work.
- Acts as a collaborative teammate, providing and absorbing constructive feedback with both internal and external customers in a positive manner.
- Survey and document existing field conditions, providing feedback and recommendations to the project team.
- Approximately 50% travel expected
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
- True hands-on field work – install, maintain, troubleshoot electronic/security & IT systems on-site
- Low voltage / electronic security systems exposure (ACS, CCTV, IDS)
- Ability to read drawings + build from design
- Solid troubleshooting mindset, not just install-only
- Comfortable with travel + cleared work environments (TS/SCI)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, etc.
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
- Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE with the ability to obtain a Polygraph is REQUIRED
Compensation Target: $85-130k
