Electronic Technician I - Night Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

The maintenance teammate will be responsible for design inputs, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of CNC machining equipment, robot welders, and/or  lasers or other electronic equipment. The teammate may also be responsible for maintaining industrial building systems and infrastructure. The teammate’s scope of work may include, but not be limited to, accepting direct supervision solving moderately complex issues while referring more complex issues to higher level teammates.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Trouble shoot and repair CNC equipment, robot welders and/or lasers and other electronic equipment
  • Problem solve equipment and facility issues
  • Reduce energy related costs
  • Repair and relocate machines and equipment
  • Evaluate and install new production machines and manufacturing equipment
  • Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve complex problems
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Procedures
  • Install Electrical Circuits and Systems including 480 3-Phase and Control Circuits
  • Perform general facilities maintenance
  • Operate Powered Industrial equipment including forklifts, skid loaders, and scissor lifts
  • Perform work that includes lifting up to 75lbs and working up to 40’ above ground

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Other maintenance and safety related duties, as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Degree or equivalent required; Associates degree or certificate from a technical school in electronics or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience (2+ years) in industrial maintenance (installation, preventative maintenance, and repair) and knowledge of PLC ladder logic, preferred.
  • Experience working with 480 VAC 3 phase power. Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement environment, preferred.

COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work up to 40’ above ground
  • Working knowledge of and experience using CAD systems, automation, and controls desired
  • Ability to read, understand and create electrical schematics and wire diagrams
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and industrial drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities desired
  • Proficient with standard computer programs including MS Office
