The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day field operations for large‑scale physical security installation projects within data center environments. This role provides leadership, technical guidance, quality oversight, and coordination between subcontractors, general contractors, and internal project teams. The Site Supervisor ensures all access control, CCTV, intrusion, cabling, and infrastructure work is installed to specification, compliant with NEC/NFPA standards, and delivered on schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a supervisor, superintendent or foreman leading large low voltage construction projects
- Experience coordinating with general contractors and other trades on site
- Experienced with project documentation and reporting
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, risers, CAD layouts, and construction documents.
- Ability to understand and follow project schedule
Core Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise and direct 5–15 installation technicians and subcontractors on active job sites.
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact, communicating project status, risks, and updates to the Project Manager and leadership team.
- Coordinate daily work activities with the General Contractor (GC), ensuring alignment with construction schedules and other trades.
- Enforce safety practices and compliance with OSHA and site‑specific requirements.
- Step in to support hands‑on installation tasks when needed to maintain schedule.
Technical Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of
- Network‑based security devices and low‑voltage infrastructure
- Perform system testing, validation, and documentation for turnover.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD design packages for field execution.
- Ensure installations meet NEC, NFPA, and manufacturer standards.
- Support development and review of O&M documentation, bulletins, and as‑built updates.
Quality & Schedule Management
- Conduct routine quality inspections with QC personnel to maintain installation standards.
- Track daily progress, document milestones, and escalate issues that impact schedule or scope.
- Coordinate material deliveries, staging, and inventory needs with the Project Manager.
- Ensure timely completion of project phases and commissioning deliverables.
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain accurate field reports, redlines, daily logs, and issue trackers.
- Communicate construction impacts, conflicts, and design concerns to engineering and PM teams.
- Participate in commissioning planning and execute system verification procedures.
