Job Title: Manual Assembler – 3rd Shift (Custom Electronic Control Panels)
Job Description

This role focuses on assembling custom electronic control panels and small electronic components based on blueprints and detailed work instructions. You will perform manual assembly of terminal blocks and associated hardware, ensuring high-quality workmanship while working at various workstations. This is an entry to mid-level opportunity suited for individuals with at least one year of experience in electronic or mechanical assembly who enjoy hands-on work, precision, and working with technical products in a clean, modern production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble custom control panels by following blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions.
  • Perform small parts assembly of terminal blocks and associated hardware using hand tools and production equipment.
  • Carry out hand assembly of various electronic and mechanical products and sub-assemblies.
  • Complete final assembly and packaging of finished products to meet quality and production standards.
  • Screen, sort, and separate various electronic and mechanical parts as required.
  • Operate production equipment and machines as needed, which may include CMS Plotter, EZ Label, PLS Web Printer, and similar devices.
  • Record assembly time data accurately and complete all associated routing, quality documents, and other related forms.
  • Follow all required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, ISO specifications, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a strong focus on productivity while ensuring accuracy and quality in all assembly activities.
  • Assist in other production areas when needed to support overall workflow and team goals.
  • Perform miscellaneous assigned tasks related to production, assembly, and quality support.
  • Work effectively in different production setups, including team-based work, small batch production, and flow line environments.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in electronic assembly or mechanical assembly (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Experience working with and assembling electronic parts, components, or circuit boards.
  • Basic PC skills to record time, complete forms, and follow digital work instructions.
  • Soldering experience or familiarity with soldering processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good math skills to support measurements, counts, and basic calculations in assembly tasks.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, ISO specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Capability to work any shift as needed, with focus on 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Sunday–Thursday).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in production, wiring, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Blueprint reading experience beyond basic familiarity.
  • Any type of secondary education involving electronics is desired but not required.
  • A degree from a technical school is a plus but not required.
  • An ideal background includes a 2-year degree in a program centered around electronics plus industry experience.
  • Average candidates may have at least 1 year of experience in the electronics industry.
  • Comfort working in team-based, small batch, and flow line production settings.

Work Environment

The role is based in an extremely clean, sterile production environment where workstations are organized into pods for various departments. Each station consists of a large desk equipped with the necessary tools and equipment for electronic and mechanical assembly. The facility is large, with over 50 employees working at any given time, and the production area is attached to a warehouse and corporate office, providing regular interaction with different teams. The dress code is casual but practical, requiring long pants and closed-toe shoes. Multiple shifts are available: first shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday), with this position focused on the 3rd shift schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.25/hr.
