Electromechanical Quality & Testing Specialist

$30 - $40/hr.

Camas, WA

Monday-Friday Day Shift, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect surface finishes, mechanical tolerances, and electrical functionality, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters. Inspect of cable and wire harnesses to IPC/WHMA standards.
  • Interpret and verify against engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Execute final inspections of completed assemblies to ensure readiness for shipment and compliance with project requirements.
  • Document inspection results clearly and accurately in both written and digital formats.
  • Perform incoming inspections on materials and components to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances to the appropriate teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with engineering, assembly, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and suggest procedural improvements.
  • Utilize QCBD for input and tracking of quality issues.
  • Assist with tool calibration events.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of inspection procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist the safety team to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
  • Miscellaneous quality team support and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree highly desirable
  • Must be currently at Technician Level 2 or higher
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical prints
  • Familiarity with GD&T preferred
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA technical standards for cable, wire harness, and electronic assemblies preferred
  • Experience using measurement and diagnostic tools such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and other inspection equipment
  • Experience with document control and engineering change processes including: file naming, release, and revision management
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and QCBD platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively

Environment/ Shift:

  • Fun, fast-paced engineering consulting company, currently experience explosive growth.
  • Employees will be working in a standard lab/production environment.
  • Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn.
  • Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.
  • Day Shift: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
