Job Description

The Electrician assists field crews on commercial construction and retrofit projects, ensuring electrical installations are completed safely, on time, and according to plans, codes, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems related to HVAC, mechanical, and building systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
  • Perform conduit installation, wire pulls, terminations, and panel work
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on commercial and industrial job sites
  • Install disconnects, controls, motors, and associated electrical components
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, local regulations, and company standards
  • Coordinate with HVAC technicians, foremen, and project managers
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite while following OSHA safety procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and power distribution
  • Experience working around HVAC/mechanical equipment preferred
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, meters, and testing equipment
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a crew

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Amboy, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
