Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Shift: 8pm-8am
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician for our client with current State of Texas licensure as a Journeyman Electrician or higher. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical equipment across the facility to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting plant operations, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems in compliance with state and local electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform diagnostics on machinery and facility equipment
- Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components to ensure safety and proper operation
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, conveyors, and mechanical infrastructure
- Assist with machine setup, modifications, and production-related equipment changes
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime
- Follow all OSHA, NFPA, and internal safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation
- Participate in facility inspections and audits; ensure corrective actions are completed promptly
- Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and maintenance team members to support ongoing operations
- Provide guidance or training to junior maintenance personnel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Qualifications
- State of Texas Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or higher); documentation required
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial or facilities maintenance
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in varied environmental conditions, and respond to off-hours maintenance calls as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environments
- Familiarity with PLC systems, motor controls, and energy-efficient technologies
