Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical Project Manager to oversee project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, and client communication across active construction projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop project schedules, manage sequencing, support manpower planning, and ensure milestones are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Coordination: Review blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs while coordinating layouts, materials, and field requirements across project teams.
- Financial Management: Track job costs, prepare change estimates, support monthly billings, and help maintain budget performance and cost visibility.
- Field & Vendor Collaboration: Partner with field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage deliveries, schedules, and project execution.
- Client Communication: Attend site meetings, communicate project updates, and help maintain strong customer relationships throughout delivery.
- Compliance & Quality: Monitor safety expectations, applicable codes, contract requirements, and quality standards to support successful project outcomes.
- Project Closeout & Team Support: Coordinate closeout activities, support record documentation, and contribute to mentoring and team development efforts as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within electrical contracting, construction, or a related trade environment.
- Leadership: Prior supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and field operations.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, blueprint reading, and construction documentation.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems, construction workflows, and applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
