Position Overview
Delta Electronics (Americas) is seeking a hands-on Electronics Lab Technician to support the development and testing of prototype power supply products. This role is focused on building, assembling, and testing hardware in a lab environment while partnering closely with engineering teams.
This is an associate-level position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting product development in a lab setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and rework printed circuit boards (PCB), including surface-mount (SMD) and through-hole components
- Perform soldering and de-soldering of electronic components
- Support setup and execution of lab testing for prototype power supply units
- Debug and troubleshoot circuit boards and hardware issues using lab equipment
- Operate test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
- Assist with building and modifying prototype hardware, including transformer and inductor assemblies
- Support PCB layout updates and preparation for manufacturing (as needed)
- Assist with 3D printing and mechanical assembly of prototype components
- Document test results, observations, and support engineering analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, or lab support
- Strong soldering skills (SMD and through-hole components)
- Experience working with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply)
- Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to power electronics or power supply systems
- Experience with PCB layout tools (Altium or similar)
- Experience with PCB prototyping systems
- Familiarity with 3D printing and mechanical assembly
