Position Title: Foreman Electrician
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Operations
Location: Laguna Niguel, CA; 100% Travel in California
Summary: The Foreman Electrician is a member of the EcoGreen Solutions installation team. This position is responsible for overseeing the lighting installation, maintenance, retrofits, and upgrades to new and more energy-efficient lighting for our clients, provided by the installation team.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Overseeing multiple teams installers
- Onsite safety coordinator for each installation team
- Ensures installers are performing work safely using required PPE and safety techniques
- Coordinates install scheduling with Director of Operations
- Manage installation timelines and complete work orders
Responsibilities:
- Provide interior and exterior lighting installations and repairs for multiple customer locations
- Work with all electrical related components including various types of sensors, drives, and low- and high-voltage wiring
- Report job site issues related to safety to manager and safety coordinator
- Continue to learn and comply with fire, safety, and other emergency practices
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Complete work orders
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Non-Residential Lighting Technician Certification and Journeyman Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical work or lighting installation
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools required
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player
- Language: English and Spanish Required
- Scissor/boom lift certification
- Must be able to lead teams and have good communication
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50lbs - 80lbs independently
- Position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time (8+ hours)
- Ability to maneuver on ladders, scaffolding, and scissor/boom lift to reach lighting fixtures
- Ability to move ladders up to: 14’ A-Frame ladders and 28’ extension ladders
- Position works outside 90% of the time and up to 65 feet heights
- Position works with voltage up to 480 volts with proper PPE
Travel:
- Position requires travel up to 100% within the state of California
- Position will be required to stay in hotels as needed to be close to work environment
- Position requires driving and will be subject to a MVR check
