Job Tasks
Perform accurate electrical takeoffs, taking into account all available job plans, specifications, and details that are shown and even not shown.
Forecast any potential issues with project bidding.
Keep the most up-to-date pricing on material.
Create Bill of Material lists for electrical gear, lighting, and miscellaneous materials.
Get pricing from various vendors for materials and services, such as lightning protection, fire alarm, communications, cathodic protection, directional boring, etc.
Keep in contact with project managers, general contractors, and second-tier subcontractors and coordinate submittals, RFI’s, RFQ’s, material releases, deliveries, and orders.
Keep up with general contractor’s schedule. Submit all information in a timely manner. Bring up and resolve any issues that affect project flow.
Turn over material lists from project managers to vendors for order after reviewing the materials.
