The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design and development of high-speed, high-precision semiconductor assembly equipment, with a primary focus on Die Bonders. This role involves close collaboration with cross functional engineering teams such as process, mechanical, software, and systems engineering. The engineer will define subsystem specifications, design electronic circuits and electrical interconnections, and perform debugging at both module and system levels. The position also includes system integration of designs developed internally as well as designs provided by external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and debug electrical systems for industrial semiconductor equipment.
- Work on power, analog, and digital circuits, including systems using brushless servo motors, stepper motors, and DC motors.
- Design and implement analog circuits with A/D and D/A converters, signal amplification and filtering, sensor and encoder feedback, and power amplification stages.
- Develop, integrate, and debug industrial control systems using motor controllers, I/O controllers, solenoids, switches, and sensors.
- Integrate electrical systems using standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, EtherCAT, I²C, and USB.
- Create and maintain wiring diagrams and electrical interconnections that align with existing system architectures. Modify or develop new architectures when required.
- Design cabling and interconnection solutions between electronic modules, including connector selection and cable gauge definition.
- Work closely with external vendors and contractors on outsourced electrical design and system integration activities.
- Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop technically robust and cost-effective electrical design solutions suitable for manufacturing.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in power, analog, and digital circuit design.
- Strong knowledge of motor control systems, including servo, stepper, and DC motors.
- Proven experience in industrial control system design and system-level debugging.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Experience designing cost-effective and manufacturable electrical solutions.
