Position Summary:
As an Entry Level Electrical Designer, you'll work closely with mid- and senior-level staff to support the planning and design of electrical power systems for a variety of projects, including office, hospitality, healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, R&D labs, and data centers. You'll contribute to system layouts, floor plans, load calculations, equipment sizing, and electrical design documentation while learning from experienced professionals in a fast-paced consulting environment. This role is ideal for someone ready to build technical expertise, strengthen code knowledge, and grow into a future leader in the discipline.
Essential Job Functions:

·� � � � � � � � Support the design of electrical power, lighting, and control systems for building projects.
·� � � � � � � � Prepare system layouts, floor plans, and related electrical design documentation.
·� � � � � � � � Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
·� � � � � � � � Assist with electrical code research for project-specific issues.
·� � � � � � � � Support construction administration tasks, including responses to RFIs and equipment submittals.
·� � � � � � � � Interface with code officials and contractors as needed.
·� � � � � � � � Collaborate with architects and other design consultants.
·� � � � � � � � Work closely with project teams to support assigned efforts from concept through construction.
Required Qualifications:
·� � � � � � � � 0-4 years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems
·� � � � � � � � Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
·� � � � � � � � Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate
·� � � � � � � � Experience in REVIT
Preferred Qualifications:
·� � � � � � � � Knowledge of OHSPD/HCAI
·� � � � � � � � LEED AP BD+C accreditation or WELL certification, highlighting your dedication to sustainability
Work Environment and Location:
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in-office days per week in our San Diego, CA office.� All candidates must be located in and eligible to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience)
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. This salary range is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package, which includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
