This role offers a structured Electrical Assembly Apprentice Training Academy that prepares you to assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and switchgear systems. You will learn to read and interpret point-to-point wiring schematics and diagrams for 480V, 120V, and 24V systems, and gain hands-on experience with crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing UL panels and sub-assemblies. After successfully completing the training, you will join a dedicated cell unit on 2nd shift, performing detailed electrical assembly and real-time testing in a clean, temperature-controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
You join a company that actively invests in your growth through a structured training academy and clear career pathways, where leaders have advanced from entry-level roles into executive positions. You receive an impressive benefits package that typically includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings options, paid time off, and sick pay, supporting both your financial security and well-being. The organization is known for genuinely taking care of its people, offering stability, support, and recognition for your efforts. You benefit from a rideshare program and biweekly pay once you transition to permanent status, making commuting and financial planning easier. On-site amenities such as a free employee gym and recreation center—with spaces for activities like cornhole, ping pong, and basketball—create a welcoming environment where you can recharge and connect with colleagues outside of your regular duties.
Work Environment
You begin in a two-week, on-site training academy conducted in a classroom-style lab environment, where you learn safety procedures, electrical wiring fundamentals, standard protocols, and correct methods for reading point-to-point schematics and labeling wiring. Training combines paper-based learning with hands-on practice using tools to add ferrules, crimp, terminate, land wiring, and align wiring in panels for accurate tracing and testing. Expectations in the training environment mirror a professional classroom setting, with a focus on attentiveness, professional conduct, and adherence to safety and appearance standards. After training, you transition to a production environment that is extremely clean and temperature controlled, working at cell stations with large, well-organized work areas. Each work cell typically consists of 5–7 technicians collaborating to assemble units according to detailed specifications, and all necessary tools and materials are provided on site. During the first week, you work a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, while attending the training academy. Following training, you move to a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., remaining primarily stationed at your assigned cell unit throughout the shift to perform wiring and testing tasks in line with customer requirements.
