Job Title: 1st Year Apprentice Electrician

Job Description

We are looking to hire specifically a first year apprentice for our electrical job sites. Initially, you will use your own vehicle to travel to project sites, transitioning to a company-provided service van after six months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn, develop skills, and work under a Journeyman Electrician on a diverse range of projects. This role will offer $20 - $24 an hour depending on how the interview goes.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in electrical installations and service work for new construction and existing industrial buildings.
  • Learn and develop skills under the guidance of a Journeyman Electrician.
  • Drive to project sites using your own vehicle while on contract, and transition to a company service van after six months.
  • Perform tasks such as conduit bending, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in pulling wire, installing lighting, and interpreting blueprints.

Essential Skills

  • Enrollment in a Massachusetts electrical apprentice program.
  • Experience in electrical work, ideally in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of electrical wiring and conduit systems.
  • Ability to perform general labor and read blueprints.

Work Environment

Work primarily involves industrial service and commercial new construction projects. Projects are located throughout Massachusetts, including Middlesex and Worcester Counties, and extend into southern New Hampshire. The role operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with work conducted both indoors and outdoors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chelmsford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
