Electrician | Facilities Maintenance
We’re seeking a skilled Electrician to support facility maintenance operations at a secure, high‑profile site in Suffolk, VA. This role supports the Site Supervisor in maintaining high workmanship standards while handling complex electrical systems and general facility maintenance. The position runs on a 1st shift (4×10 schedule) with on‑call support as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across facility systems, including lighting, circuits, and equipment
- Respond to corrective and preventive maintenance requests, ensuring timely and high‑quality resolution
- Support building automation systems through monitoring, adjustments, and issue resolution
- Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, emergency generators, and lighting systems
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors performing on‑site services
- Collaborate with the Site Supervisor to assess service needs and prioritize work
- Support general facility maintenance activities, including basic plumbing and auxiliary systems, as needed
- Assist other skilled trades on projects and daily maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports in alignment with facility requirements
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical and facilities maintenance
- Apprentice Electrical License (minimum requirement)
- NFPA 70E certification
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (active clearance preferred)
- Experience with electrical testing equipment, voltages up to 600V, and NEC standards, including three‑phase systems
- Knowledge of relays, circuit breakers, infrared scanning, high‑voltage switchgear, and PLC programming (preferred)
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Excellent communication, customer service, organization, and time‑management skills
- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, email, and internet‑based communication

💵Salary: $34 - $36/hr
