DESCRIPTION:
You'll be part of an innovative team advancing our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As an EHS Specialist III, you'll provide expert guidance and leadership in environmental health, safety, and sustainability programs across the organization. You'll collaborate with teams at all levels to develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and create a strong safety-focused culture. This role combines strategic thinking with practical problem-solving to protect our employees, environment, and facilities while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in EHS in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry settings
• Preferred Fields of Study: Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related technical field
• Professional certifications preferred: ASP, CSP, CIH or equivalent industry credentials
• Experience with HAZWOPER is a plus
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable EHS regulations, standards and management systems (OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, DOT)
• Strong technical expertise in industrial hygiene, chemical safety, hazardous materials, and environmental compliance
• Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs and leading safety initiatives
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with all levels of the organization
• Proficiency with EHS software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with emergency response and business continuity planning
• Demonstrated success in organizational change initiatives
• Travel up to 10% may be required
• Additional language skills beneficial
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $83,300.00–$111,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
