EHS Coordinator

We’re looking for an EHS Coordinator to help drive a strong safety culture and ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Sarasota, FL. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, influencing teams, and making a real impact on workplace safety and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion a proactive safety culture by driving EHS initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the facility
  • Partner with plant leadership to coach, train, and engage employees in achieving safety goals
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Coordinate EHS compliance activities and serve as a key liaison for internal teams and external agencies
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement programs that reduce risk, injuries, and incidents
  • Track and report safety metrics, trends, and compliance data using EHS systems (e.g., Gensuite)
  • Support workers’ compensation processes and documentation
  • Assist with facility-related EHS planning, maintenance, and capital project initiatives
  • Build relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all applicable standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication, custom equipment, or assembly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to lead investigations, drive change, and improve safety performance
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
