We’re looking for an EHS Coordinator to help drive a strong safety culture and ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Sarasota, FL. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, influencing teams, and making a real impact on workplace safety and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Champion a proactive safety culture by driving EHS initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the facility
Partner with plant leadership to coach, train, and engage employees in achieving safety goals
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
Coordinate EHS compliance activities and serve as a key liaison for internal teams and external agencies
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels
Identify workplace hazards and implement programs that reduce risk, injuries, and incidents
Track and report safety metrics, trends, and compliance data using EHS systems (e.g., Gensuite)
Support workers’ compensation processes and documentation
Assist with facility-related EHS planning, maintenance, and capital project initiatives
Build relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all applicable standards
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience)
1-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication, custom equipment, or assembly preferred)
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards
Proven ability to lead investigations, drive change, and improve safety performance
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
