Manages multiple measures submissions for educator candidates/licensure applicants to demonstrate content competency as related to State Board of Education endorsement requirements, including the standards and process for submission, review, and approval of those multiple measures.
Coordinates educator preparation efforts, including, but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and technical support for designated agencies and alternative educator applicants.
Conducts authorization and reauthorization reviews of educator preparation programs in Colorado, including site visits. Facilitates peer reviews, supports program submission refinements, organizes site visit scheduling, including engagement of appropriate state review team members, drafts feedback with recommendations, final reports, and formal communication with programs on their status.
Monitors and implements process improvements, fosters relationships, and connects applicants and agencies.
Facilitates the process for reviewing, updating, or adding educator licensing endorsement areas, including monitoring field needs, managing stakeholder working groups composed of members from educator preparation programs and school districts, and updating licensing rules.
Continually monitors the educational preparation and development environment in and out of Colorado for continuous growth opportunities, initiates conversations about these opportunities, and facilitates implementation of new opportunities as agreed upon by the division leadership.
