TheLouisiana Special School District (LSSD)is an education service agency that provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.We are seeking an Educational Technology Consultant to support the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning. This role partners with educators and stakeholders to design, implement, and support digital tools, learning platforms, and instructional strategies that enhance student engagement and outcomes.A bachelor’s degree plus six years of experience in education, administrative services, web development, or graphic design; ORA master's degree plus four years of experience in education, administrative services, web development, or graphic design; ORA doctorate in education plus two years of experience in education, administrative services, web development, or graphic design.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found

Job Duties:*Evaluating technology hardware and software for educational merit and uses* Coaching educators on how to use digital tools effectively
* Troubleshooting technology devices to ensure teacher success
* Maintaining accessible agency web properties (website and social media)
* Collaborating with the Information Technology Department for technology implementation
Position-specific details:Appointment Type:Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment.Location:The Louisiana Special School District.Work Schedule:Typically, work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
