The position performs advanced level work under the limited supervision of the Educational Policy Development Director (WT: Director of Research and Evaluation). Primary responsibilities include data driven program improvement activities for career technical education (CTE) and adult general education (AGE) programs statewide, through the analysis, visualization, and sharing of state data. This position supports state-administered adult general education, registered apprenticeship, and secondary and postsecondary career and technical education programs. The position provides shared leadership through strong data analysis, technical assistance and consultative services, staff development, and support services to providers which include local educational agencies, correctional/juvenile educational programs, state and local agencies, business and industry, community-based organizations, and other providers. You’ll be emersed in the ins and outs of state administration of the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) and Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins) which contribute to the economic development of Florida and the self-sufficiency of its citizenry. This position specializes in CTE program support, including data reporting, data analysis, and program improvement of secondary and postsecondary CTE, career dual enrollment, and apprenticeship programs.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment/volunteer undergo Level 2 background screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
