Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest.
Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).
This is a Full-time (72 hrs / 2 week) 12-hour Varied shift, with a rotating work schedule that includes weekends. Located at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest.
Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego is in the heart of Hillcrest. It was founded in 1890 and is the county’s oldest medical center. We offer a wide range of specialty services, including 24-hour emergency care, robotic surgery, prenatal care (including NICU) and outpatient physical rehab.
As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you will support emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed.
· Under supervision, assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions.
· You will perform assessment of vital signs, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings and splints, stool and urine collection.
· You may transport patients and/or provide coverage for the unit secretary.
Required Qualifications:
Certified CA state issued EMT (EMT, AEMT or Paramedic) or CNA
BLS Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
