From SNAP and LaCAP to TANF, FITAP, KCSP, and Disaster SNAP, your work will help ensure critical resources reach those who need them most. One year of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been at the supervisory level or above:

Eight years of economic stability social services experience; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of economic stability social services experience; OR

A bachelor's degree plus five years of economic stability social services experience; OR

An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus four years of economic stability social services experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties:
  • Conducts management studies of staff assignments, administrative controls, and program impacts to ensure Economic Stability (ES) services are delivered effectively and efficiently
  • Oversees and adjusts the statewide round-robin case assignment process, ensuring equitable workload distribution and making real-time updates for staffing changes such as absences or reassignments
  • Directly supervises ES Manager I, Program Consultants, and ES Specialists, while coordinating and assigning work that supports field staff and State Office operations
  • Maintains disaster readiness by preparing staff for emergency response roles and ensuring alignment with ESF6 functions during events such as hurricanes, floods, or other emergencies
  • Serves as liaison to regional management, providing guidance on business processes, monitoring regional workloads, and ensuring consistency and equity across all ES program areas
  • Analyzes performance metrics, audit findings, and system data to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, and develops recommendations to improve program efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develops reports, supports policy and training initiatives, monitors corrective action plans, and collaborates with leadership and external partners to ensure compliance, program quality, and continuous improvement
