Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence & Strategic Growth Insights Specialist to support data-driven decision-making across our eCommerce, retail, and strategic growth initiatives.

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, marketing performance, and commercial strategy. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions, while also contributing to market intelligence, white space identification, and early-stage strategic opportunity analysis.

Key Responsibilities


Business Performance & Analytics

●   Monitor and analyze performance across Amazon, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels

●   Track key KPIs including revenue, ROAS, ACOS/TACOS, MER, subscription growth, and retention

●    Analyze customer cohorts, lifetime value (LTV), and payback periods to support long-term growth

●    Evaluate product and SKU performance, including velocity, pricing, and profitability

●    Assess advertising performance across Amazon Ads, retail media platforms, Meta, and Google, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize spend

Reporting, Dashboards & Data Infrastructure

●    Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting systems using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar platforms

●    Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reporting frameworks that clearly communicate performance and insights

●    Ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple data sources and platforms

●    Leverage AI tools and automation to improve reporting efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance speed and quality of insights delivery

Inventory & Operational Insights

●   Track inventory health across Amazon, retail, and DTC channels

●    Identify risks related to out-of-stocks (OOS) and lost sales opportunities

●    Support forecasting and supply chain alignment with actionable insights


Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

●  Analyze category trends, market share, distribution, and competitive dynamics using internal and external data sources

●   Track competitor activity including product launches, pricing changes, distribution expansion, and marketing strategies

●   Leverage datasets such as Nielsen, Circana, Byzzer, or similar sources to build a fact-based understanding of the market

White Space & Strategic Opportunity Identification

●   Identify gaps in the market, underserved segments, and emerging category trends

●   Translate data and market insights into recommendations for product, channel, or geographic expansion

●   Support development of data-backed opportunity briefs for new initiatives


Strategic Opportunity & M&A Intelligence Support

●   Monitor market signals that may indicate partnership, licensing, or acquisition opportunities, such as rapid brand growth, distribution changes, or competitive shifts

●    Maintain structured tracking of relevant brands, categories, and potential strategic targets

●    Deliver periodic intelligence reports to leadership summarizing trends, opportunities, and areas to monitor

●    Support internal discussions by providing data-driven perspectives on market positioning and strategic fit


Cross-Functional Collaboration

●   Partner closely with the Growth Lead to support performance-driven decision-making

●    Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to support business reviews, planning, and execution

●    Translate data into clear, compelling insights for cross-functional stakeholders and leadership

Required Qualifications

●    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights

●    Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms

●    Experience working with multiple data sources and ensuring data accuracy and consistency

●    Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to cross-functional teams

●    Experience using AI tools or automation to improve reporting, data analysis, and workflow efficiency


Preferred Qualifications

●   Experience in eCommerce, consumer goods, or retail environments

●   Familiarity with Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Shopify, and retail data ecosystems

●   Experience with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen, Circana, SPINS, or Euromonitor

●   Exposure to competitive analysis, market research, or strategy-related roles
