Who we are: The RDs at Lutz and Alexander are not your typical dietitians. We are a team of
experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionists specializing in nutrition therapy for eating
disorders, body image concerns, and pediatric/family nutrition, with offices in Raleigh, Chapel
Hill, Durham, Cary and Charlotte North Carolina.
Position Title: Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian
Job Type: Full-Time Employee
Hours: Minimum of 18 - 20 completed client sessions per week
Location: Triangle Area in North Carolina or Charlotte, NC; with hybrid option for providing telehealth
Job Responsibilities:
● Conduct in-depth nutrition assessment for each client.
● Develop an individualized nutrition plan for each client.
● Keep thorough clinical documentation in EMR, including assessments, updated
treatment plans and progress notes.
● Communication and collaboration with treatment team members when appropriate.
● Provide evidenced based nutrition education and counseling to individuals and
caregivers.
● Marketing to other clinicians, including attending networking events.
● Seek work-life balance and self-care in order to take care of others.
Requirements:
● Aligned with weight inclusive, non-diet nutrition philosophy
● Minimum of 3 years working with individuals with eating disorders
● NC state dietetic licensure and Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) in good
standing
● Willingness to work with children, adolescents and caregivers as well as adults
● Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience:
● The ideal candidate has a subspecialty such as diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders,
sports nutrition, and/or PCOS.
● Experience with Family Based Treatment (FBT) and working with adolescents and
caregivers
● Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) or working toward certification
