Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems wants you to join our team as a Senior Principal Logistics Management Analyst - Lead. This position is located, on site, in Lake Charles, LA.
As a Logistics Management Analyst, you will be awarded the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines in support of the E-6B Depot Level Maintenance. Here at PSM (Platform Systems & Modernization) we pride ourselves in support of superior depot repairs and maintenance services serving our nation’s military. The site has decades of experience in aircraft refurbishment services, modification work, and skilled engineering.
The E-6B is a U.S. Navy airborne command post and communicate relay aircraft designed to ensure survivable, endurable communication between national leadership and U.S. strategic forces. Performing TACAMO (Take Charge and Move Out) mission to connect the president and defense secretary to nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines, bombers, and missile silos.
As a MRP lead you will be a member of a 5 person team; that will be utilized to forecast and plan material needs based on operations schedules, bills of materials (BOMs), and inventory levels. Analyze demand signals, lead times, and safety stock to determine order quantities and timing. Collaborate with procurement, production, and suppliers to ensure timely material availability. Create and monitor operations schedules to align material availability with manufacturing plans. Conduct self governing audits/cycle counts and reconcile variances. Data analysis and system management - Maintain accurate master data (BOMs, lead times, supplier catalogs) within the ERP/MRP system. Generate and interpret reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzes operations, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of the IMS demands, component replenishments, substitute parts or materials.
Resolves schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross-functional representatives.
Approves part or material requisitions and initiates production and purchase change orders.
Resolves master schedules and production problems and negotiates lead times.
Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.
Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 12 yrs of Logistics Management Analyst experience and a High School diploma or equivalent; 8 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; 6 Years of relevant experience with a with Masters; May also be considered.
8 - 15 years of experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
Proven experience in a supply chain role, preferably in the aviation industry.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail for accurate data and inventory.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance if required by the program.
Ability to work multiple shifts, if required by the program.
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and trade regulations.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Military experience.
A current DoD Secret Clearance.
