Dual Enrollment Navigator

The Dual Enrollment Navigator is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position responsible for supporting K-12 students and their families in exploring college-in-high school opportunities at OCC. These include dual enrollment, early/middle college programs, and high school CTE credit options. Using a case management approach, the Navigator guides prospective dual-enrolled students through each step of the college onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience from initial contact through registration. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality service and maintaining engagement with students throughout the registration process. This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the
employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and
responsibilities that may be required:
  1. Develops and conducts outreach and recruitment for college credit opportunities while building relationships with high school families, students, and staff.
  2. Supports the Executive Director in implementing dual enrollment procedures to streamline processes.
  1. Provides individualized & or group support to prospective and dual-enrolled students, helping them navigate admissions, placement testing, and registration.
  2. Connect students with campus resources such as Advising, Counseling, ACCESS and tutoring services.
  3. Assists students and families in understanding college policies, deadlines, and academic expectations, serving as a liaison between OCC and partnering schools.
  1. Facilitates onboarding workshops, orientation sessions, and informational events for K-12 students, parents, and school counselors.
  2. Distributes clear, accessible communication materials (print, digital, presentations) that explain college credit opportunities.
  1. Utilizes student information systems (e.g., Colleague, CRM platforms) to track outreach, engagement, and student success metrics.
  1. Maintain records and reports on applicant enrollment activity outcomes; maintain contact lists and databases and analyze enrollment data.
  1. Assists with annual stakeholder events.
  2. Collaborates with employees across the College; participates in relevant committees, subcommittees.
  1. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
  2. Ability to work additional hours, as needed.
• Knowledge of dual enrollment, early/middle college, and CTE pathways, including
relevant state and institutional policies and procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills including active listening and the ability to build rapport
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Public speaking and presentation skills, with comfort facilitating both in-person and virtual
sessions for varied audiences
• Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. Colleague, Ellucian) and customer
relationship management (CRM) tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience collecting and analyzing data for continuous process improvement
• Customer service orientation and a student-centered mindset
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate with personnel across multiple
departments
• Proficiency in MS-Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPointEDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) or more years of work experience in recruitment and/or enrollment
support. Two (2) or more years of experience conducting and facilitating presentations. Demonstrated experience tracking and analyzing data.
