Job Description

The Driver safely loads vehicles, delivers parts and materials to various sites, and provides courteous, professional service to customers. This role supports installation and construction-related activities by handling materials, assisting with basic assembly and installation tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation of deliveries and inventory movements.

Responsibilities

  • Load vehicles with parts, materials, and inventory in a safe, organized, and secure manner prior to each route.
  • Deliver parts, materials, and equipment to designated locations on time while following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers at delivery sites to confirm orders, obtain signatures, and address basic questions.
  • Handle materials such as sheetrock, furniture, and construction-related items with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading.
  • Assist with basic furniture assembly and installation tasks using hand tools and power tools as needed.
  • Support installation teams on-site by moving materials, staging parts, and helping prepare work areas.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company safety procedures during driving, loading, unloading, and installation activities.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly for assembly, installation, and related tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring that tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and secured.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after routes and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Provide friendly, customer-focused service at all times and represent the company professionally on job sites.
  • Assist with inventory handling, including checking materials against delivery documents and reporting discrepancies.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience loading vehicles and delivering parts in a warehouse, construction, or similar environment.
  • Valid and clean state-issued driver’s license with a strong record of safe driving.
  • OSHA 10 certification, or willingness to obtain it with company support.
  • Experience working with materials such as sheetrock, furniture, and construction-related parts.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely for basic assembly and installation tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Capability to lift, carry, and move materials and parts as required for loading, unloading, and installation support.
  • Reliable time management skills to complete routes and deliveries within scheduled hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a warehouse, construction, or installation environment.
  • Experience in furniture assembly or furniture installation.
  • Familiarity with construction job sites and related safety practices.
  • Comfort working with material and parts handling processes.
  • Interest in growing into higher-level roles such as foreman or project management over time.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, day-shift position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work takes place in a mix of warehouse, vehicle, and construction or installation sites, involving regular handling of materials, parts, and equipment. The role uses hand tools, power tools, and standard safety equipment while following OSHA guidelines. The environment is active and hands-on, with frequent loading, unloading, and on-site support for installation and construction activities.E

This is a Permanent position based out of East Rochester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
