The City of Grants Pass is accepting applications for a temporary employee to perform dredging for the City's water treatment plant.

The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day for approximately 3 months.

The benefits for this position are: FICA, Medicare, Worker's Compensation and Oregon Sick Leave after 90 days.

Hourly salary is $21.84

This temporary position will not exceed 150 days of employment.Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desired and a driver's license with driving record that meets City policy. The ability to work independently, without supervision is highly desired. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

The ranking and selection of applicants to proceed in the process includes: experience and knowledge, education, responses to supplemental questionnaire, submission of required materials and meeting minimum qualifications and special qualifications of the position. Physical Requirements: Climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Incumbent may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be exposed to extreme temperatures, and hazardous conditions.
