Overview
We are seeking a short-term CAD Drafter to support the Engineering and Facilities teams with an immediate backlog of drafting and documentation work. This role is intended to provide execution support, not design ownership, and will focus on 2D AutoCAD drawings related to facility and production layouts.
The work is finite and project-based, with a defined deadline and scope anticipated to last no more than two months.
Key Responsibilities
Update and revise facility and production room layouts based on redlines and recent changes
Modify room layouts to reflect equipment placement, removed or reconfigured walls, and updated separations
Support production layout drawings, including material and personnel process flow
Update distribution layouts, including piping and compressed air drawings (support-level only)
Assist with P&ID / P&AD-style process drawings as needed (no deep system expertise required)
Export finalized drawings into internal systems for review, approval, and documentation
Support updates to a large master drawing comprised of 40 individual drawings
Work closely with the Facility Engineer and Engineering Manager to understand scope and priorities
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD 2D
Strong ability to follow redlines, markups, and verbal direction
Experience updating and maintaining facility or manufacturing layout drawings
Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Strong verbal communication skills to clarify scope and technical direction
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a short-term, deadline-driven role
Day-to-Day Expectations
Initial onboarding and scope walkthrough with the Facility Engineer
Receive drawings and priorities based on evolving project needs
Execute drafting updates efficiently to reduce backlog
Deliver clean, accurate drawings ready for approval

Drawings are updated accurately and on time
Minimal rework required from Engineering
Facility and production layout documentation reflects current-state conditions
Engineering teams stay on schedule despite resource gap

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $46.00/hr.
