About the Opportunity
CornerStone Technology Talent Services is partnering with a forward-thinking organization to identify a .NET Software Engineer with strong Azure experience to support a major cloud modernization initiative in Tempe, AZ. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who thrives in hands-on environments and wants to help transform legacy systems into scalable, modern cloud-native solutions.
This is not a narrow development role — this is a full-stack ownership opportunity where you will play a key role in re-architecting applications, improving performance, and driving modernization across the platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and enhance .NET-based applications using modern backend patterns (including minimal APIs)
- Develop and support React-based front-end components in a full-stack environment
- Lead and contribute to the migration from Azure IaaS to PaaS, improving scalability and efficiency
- Optimize and maintain SQL databases, including schema design and query performance tuning
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployments
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
- Collaborate closely with a small, agile team to drive architectural improvements and reduce technical debt
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with .NET backend development and modern API design
- Hands-on experience with React in production environments
- Proven experience working within Microsoft Azure, particularly with PaaS services
- Solid understanding of SQL, including database design and performance optimization
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a high-autonomy, hands-on environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
