About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) to join our dedicated Radiation Oncology team at the Radiation Oncology Clinical Care Center (ROCCC) at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. This full-time role offers the chance to support our nation's veterans while working in a nationally accredited, state-of-the-art facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, compute, and optimize treatment plans using Eclipse and ARIA systems for 2D/3D, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT, SRS/SRT modalities.
  • Support simulation and tumor localization using CT, PET, MRI modalities.
  • Collaborate closely with Physicists and Radiation Oncologists in treatment planning.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and perform treatment dose calculations.
  • Participate in peer reviews, QA activities, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Assist with patient setup and immobilization devices.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with VA/NRC protocols.


Required Qualifications:

  • Certification: Active CMD certification from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of recent, continuous CMD experience within the last 3 years, including:
  • 3+ years experience using Varian Linear Accelerators (Edge preferred).
  • 3+ years experience with Eclipse treatment planning system and ARIA.
  • 3+ years of IGRT experience with Cone Beam CT (TG-142 compliant).
  • 1+ year with Siemens SOMATOM go.Open Pro CT Simulator (or equivalent).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of radiation oncology theory, physics, anatomy, and clinical workflows.
  • Credentialing: Must be eligible and willing to complete VA credentialing (VetPro).
  • Training & Immunization Compliance: Completion of VA-mandated annual training and proof of required immunizations (PPD, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

License/Certification:
