Role Purpose:

Responsible for the acceptance of freight and receiving functions to include safe operation of personnel and equipment on the dock. Oversee the dock, including the entire outside parking lot for trailers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Checks in carriers (safe chocking of truck, PPE, paperwork).
• Unloads or directs the unloading of carriers.
• Compares Bill of Lading to freight actually delivered.
• Performs Goods Receipts in Clear Orbit.
• Rejects poorly packaged or incorrect goods.
• Prepares Clear Orbit tracking label and affixes to product.
• Moves product into correct lane inside warehouse (crossdock).
• Notifies end customer on specially marked material.
• Notifies appropriate manager when hazardous material arrives (radioactive must be managed immediately).
• Obtains an escort for straight through deliveries.
• Works 3-way match problems with vendors or customer’s procurement team.
• Oversees the geographical area of the yard and back in areas ensuring safe operation of all carriers’ vehicles.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Complies with all client policies, procedure, and guidelines.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
