Position Overview

The District Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and team development across a portfolio of café locations. This role leads multi-unit operations by optimizing people, processes, and performance, while ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, people-focused leader who can inspire teams, execute strategic initiatives, and support both corporate and franchise operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


Key Responsibilities

Operations & Performance

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple café locations
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, food quality, and guest service
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance, including sales, labor, and profitability
  • Develop and implement action plans to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and café leadership teams
  • Support talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning
  • Identify training needs and partner with training teams to execute development programs
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement


Guest Experience

  • Champion an exceptional guest experience across all locations
  • Address guest feedback and implement solutions to improve service standards
  • Ensure cafés consistently exceed guest expectations


Franchise & Stakeholder Support

  • Partner with franchise owners and General Managers to drive performance
  • Provide guidance on operational processes, performance management, and team development
  • Support execution of training programs and operational initiatives


Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Analyze P&L statements and key performance metrics
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies aligned with district goals
  • Support regional strategic planning and growth initiatives


Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and operational procedures
  • Oversee facility maintenance through preventive maintenance programs


Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of progressive multi-unit management experience in high-volume restaurant, hospitality, or retail environments
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong P&L management and financial acumen
  • Experience with POS systems (Toast preferred)
  • Strong inventory management and operational planning skills
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing, geographically dispersed teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • High emotional intelligence with a collaborative leadership style
  • Ability to travel frequently and support multiple locations
