The District Attorney's Office seeks law students interested in an unpaid internship with the our office. Paid positions may become available depending on the intern's performance and longevity with the office.
Only individuals currently attending law school will be considered.As an intern, students may assist with legal research, drafting motions, and attending docket and trial.
Internships are available at both our Loveland and Fort Collins locations. We anticipate hiring up to 4 unpaid interns. During the school year, we are flexible around class schedules, but will need interns to work during the 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday work window. In the Spring and Fall, an intern may work up to 20 hours per week. Applicants should indicate in their cover letter which semester they are interested in and how many hours they could intern per week. There are no telecommuting options for an unpaid intern.What you'll be doing:
- Legal research, drafting motions, and attending docket and trial.
- Working closely with Deputy District Attorneys to gain hands-on experience.
- Observing and learning the role of a practicing prosecutor.
