The overall purpose of this job is to assist in the cleanup of meals in the Dining Services Center.
Set up, operation and maintenance of equipment (i.e. carousel, dish machine, conveyor, disposal, extractor units, ware washing station, etc.)
Clear and sort waste materials from dishware
Sort and load appropriate racks to be cleaned
Maintain separate dirty/clean areas to avoid cross-contamination
Transport clean dishware and silverware to appropriate service areas
Return prep/cook ware to appropriate production areas
Maintain time and temperature log of equipment and notify chef or supervisor of any problems
Provide guidance to student employees in utility/dish room area
Keep work area, front and back of house, clean and well-stocked
Assist with production and/or service as requested
Assist with catering functions as needed
Participate in training, as well as other departmental function requirements
Other duties as requested
