Overview

The Director of Project Management oversees project and task management for American Textile’s Digital Transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This hands-on role focuses on developing implementation plans, communicating goals, tracking progress, and aligning efforts with strategic objectives. As the main coordinator, the Director facilitates collaboration, defines team roles and decision-making authority, and ensures accountability for effective project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Guide digital transformation teams on scope, schedule, value, and budgets.
  • Manage resources across projects for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure that roles and decision-making authority are well defined.

Project Oversight and Governance

  • Oversee the development of comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Plan, track, and ensure completion of activities and tasks against timelines.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Escalate issues when tasks are not being completed.

Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure clear communication among teams, stakeholders, and management.
  • Gather and address stakeholder needs.
  • Update management and stakeholders regularly.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.


Experience

  • At least seven years of project management experience, including three or more years in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex digital transformation projects.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and PLM (Centric) is a plus.

Certifications

  • Change Management certification (ProSci) is a plus.


Working Conditions

  • Office Environment: This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to project sites as required.
  • Work Hours: Standard working hours with the possibility of extended hours during critical project phases.
