Director of Project Finance
We are seeking a Director to lead financial analysis, structuring, and execution of M&A and project finance transactions across a renewable energy portfolio in North America.
This role sits at the center of investment decision-making, supporting acquisitions, divestitures, and capital formation, including tax equity, transferability, and project debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence for M&A and joint venture transactions
- Evaluate project economics, financing structures, and key risks
- Structure and execute project financings (tax equity, transferability, debt)
- Build and review complex financial models and valuation analyses
- Prepare investment materials and recommendations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with internal teams and external investors, lenders, and advisors
Requirements
- 5–8+ years in project finance, investment banking, or renewable energy
- Strong experience in M&A transactions and financial due diligence
- Expertise in tax equity, tax credit transferability, and project debt
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Master’s degree required; MBA/CFA preferred
- Need to be able to work in Boston on a hybrid basis
